FFT implementation in FPGA and ASIC
Dvořák, Vojtěch ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Fujcik, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design the implementation of fast Fourier transform algorithm, which can be used in FPGA or ASIC circuits. Implementation will be done in Matlab and then this form of implementation will be used as a reference model for implementation of fast Fourier transform algorithm in VHDL. To verify the correctness ofdesign verification enviroment will be created and verification process wil be done. Program that will generate source code for various parameters of the module performing a fast Fourier transform will be created in the last part of this thesis.
High-Level Synthesis of Digital Circuits
Jendrušák, Ján ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis deals with practical test of high-level synthesis as a digital circuits design method and its current progress in creating RTL models. At first main tasks of HLS will be described together with C++ library of classes called SystemC, which implements hardware constructs, notion of time and hardware datatypes with arbitrary bit width. After that thesis focuses on discrete Fourier transform and its fast form of computation – fast Fourier transform. In the practical part of thesis reference FFT model is written in C++ language, which is later edited appropriately a synthesized with Stratus High-Level Synthesis tool into several hardware architectures.
Radar Signal Processing for Radio Altimeter
Radar Signal Processing
Komora, Matúš ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This work is devoted to signal processing and evaluation of Doppler radar. By Signal processing is specifically means to calculate the velocity of the object based on the responses received from the radar. Mathematical method used is a discrete Fourier transform, which is one of the standards in the analysis of signals. Because of the radar signal is random, discrete Fourier transform itself is not sufficient to obtain accurate results, so it is necessary to use other methods that try to minimize weaknesses.
Radar Signal Processor in FPGA
Přívara, Jan ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This work describes design and implementation of radar processor in FPGA. The theoretical part is focused on Doppler radar, principles of radar signal processing methods and target platform Xilinx Zynq. The next part describes design of radar processor including its individual components and the solution is implemented. FPGA components are written in VHDL language. In the end, the implementation is evaluated and possible continuation of this work is stated.
Identification of coding regions using DNA spectrogram analysis
Spíchalová, Barbora ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kubicová, Vladimíra (advisor)
The Bachelor’s Thesis deals with coding identification of coding regions using DNA spectrogram analysis. The theoretical part describes numerical representations of genomic data and methods for editing DNA sequences. The types of methods used for DNA spektrogram construction and characteristic patterns detected by spectrogram are described. The most used method for data processing is discrete Fourier transformation that enables us to scan sequences for required data. There is also a theoretical part about creating a spectrogram and a list of detected samples. Knowledge of this is used to program specific methods in Matlab. We created a program for detection of coding parts in Spectrogram and defining their accurate positions in the sequence. Acquired results are discussed and compared with the NCBI database at the end of this work.
Design of a New Method for Stereovision
Kopečný, Josef ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis covers with the problems of photogrammetry. It describes the instruments, theoretical background and procedures of acquiring, preprocessing, segmentation of input images and of the depth map calculating. The main content of this thesis is the description of the new method of stereovision. Its algorithm, implementation and evaluation of experiments. The covered method belongs to correlation based methods. The main emphasis lies in the segmentation, which supports the depth map calculation.
Set of excercises for data acquisition, analysis and processin course
Kornfeil, Vojtěch ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Čejka, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis proposes tasks of exercises for mentioned course and design and creation of automated evaluation system for these exercises. This thesis focuses on discussion and exemplary solutions of possible tasks of each exercise and description of created automated evaluation system. For evaluation program are made tests with chosen special data sets, which will prove it’s functionality in general data sets.
Detect the Use of Retouch Filters in a Face Image
Kraváček, Adam ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
These days, altering images via filters is one of the easiest ways of enhancing its properties. Social networks like Instagram or Snapchat, focused primarily on image sharing, offer their users the option to apply filters on their images, which alter their colours to make them look better. If someone was to extract images from these platforms, many of these images would have a filter applied. This thesis explains the principles of these filters and focuses on detection of filters on facial images. Several approaches to detecting filters are being experimented with. Detection by analysis of histograms and detection by convolutional neural network achieve the best results and so are implemented in a program with a simple user interface. They achieved a success rate of 94,44% (histogram) and 99,10% (CNN). This thesis also investigates the impact of filters on facial recognition, where the impact varies depending on the filter used. Some filters have a significant impact on the rate of successful identifications, whereas others have little impact. In general, however, it can be said that the changes introduced by the application of filters are not negligible.
Digital Image Noise Reduction Methods
Čišecký, Roman ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The master's thesis is concerned with digital image denoising methods. The theoretical part explains some elementary terms related to image processing, image noise, categorization of noise and quality determining criteria of denoising process. There are also particular denoising methods described, mentioning their advantages and disadvantages in this paper. The practical part deals with an implementation of the selected denoising methods in a Java, in the environment of application RapidMiner. In conclusion, the results obtained by different methods are compared.
